Richard Loffer
Richard S. Loffer, 82, St. Marys, died at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 1, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Jan. 7, 1930, in Ada to Lowell and Mary Hubbell Loffer. On May 19, 1951, he married Barbara Van Cleve, who died April 1, 2010.
Surviving are three children, Craig (Susan) Loffer, St. Marys, Scott (Pam) Loffer, Princeton, W.Va., and Jodi (Kumar) Sivagnanam, St. Marys; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are two brothers, the Rev. Robert Loffer and Max Loffer, and a son-in-law, Harold Porter.
He graduated from Memorial High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Living Hope Assembly of God Church, St. Marys.
Funeral services are 3 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 2-3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
