* WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Alexander Reed
Alexander "Al" C. Reed, 87, California, died Dec. 3, 2012, at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula, Monterey, Calif.
He was born Jan. 14, 1925, in New Haven, Conn. In 1951, he married Mary Dicke Reed, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Laura K. Reed, Harper Woods, Mich., and Jeffrey C. (Janine) Reed, Menlo Park, Calif., and three grandchildren.
He graduated from Wist Technical School in 1943 and served in the South Pacific in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1950 and from Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1953.
He became board certified in internal medicine. His professional practice was in consultative medicine and cardiology in Lima from 1957 to 1984 and included affiliation with Lima Memorial Health Care Systems and St. Rita's Medical Center. He served as chief of medicine at both institutions, president of Lima and Allen County Medical Associations and the Allen County Heart Association. In 1985 he became medical director of Crown equipment Corp., New Bremen. He retired in 1992.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiant. Burial will follow at Lock Two Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is noon-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
