Idaleen Hartings
Idaleen "Len" M. Hartings, 88, Celina, died at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 8, 2013, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
She was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Coldwater, to Joseph and Elenora Schoch Sutter.
On Sept. 11, 1948, she married Wilfred E. "Bill" Hartings, who died Dec. 26, 2006.
Surviving are three sons, James (Sherry) Hartings, Vandalia, Robert (Lois) Hartings, Piqua, and Joseph (Nancy) Hartings, Celina; a daughter, Carolyn (David) Bates, Brookville, a brother, Zeno Sutter, Versailles, two sisters, Claira Paulus, Versailles, and Mary Etta Eyink, Montezuma; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are two brothers, Ralph Sutter and Joe Sutter, and a sister, Mildred Sutter.
She graduated in 1941 from Coldwater High School. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and its Altar Rosary Society. She sang in the church choir and was a church cleaner. She volunteered at the I.C. school cafeteria and worked many hours for the church festival and bingo events.
She was retired from Buckeye Apparel Co., Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Calling is 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be given to the I.C. Endowment Fund or local hospice.
Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, is handling arrangements.
