Clora Barker
Clora Genevra Barker, 90, Mendon, died Jan. 17, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born April 1, 1922, in Van Wert County to Carl and Sarah McCoy Mohler. On March 18, 1943, she married Charles Barker, who died Oct. 8, 2003.
Surviving are a daughter, Elaine (Jerry) Steiner of Mendon; two granddaughters, Holly (Andy) Smith of Celina and Valerie (Jim) Scatena of Minneapolis, Minn.; and five great-grandsons, Dalton and Logan Smith and Vincent, Dominick and Joey Scatena.
Also deceased are a brother, Frank Mohler, and a sister, Edith Rhodes.
She attended Convoy Union High School. She was a homemaker and retired after 30 years from National Seal in Van Wert. She enjoyed taking pictures, crocheting, working on plastic canvas needlepoint and visiting with family and friends.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
