* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Michael Gabes
Michael "Mick" Gabes, 64, St. Marys, died at 8:25 p.m. Feb. 6, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Lima.
He was born Feb. 25, 1948, in Lima to Donald and Connie Cook Gabes. His mother survives in Lima; his father is deceased. On July 10, 1993, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina, he married Wendy S. Schisler, who survives.
Also surviving are his son, Shaun (Amity) Gabes of St. Marys; a daughter, Grace Gabes of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Myah Gabes, Caleb Gabes and Braylon Gabes; a sister, Lori (Jeff) Geesman of Lima; a brother, Steve (Sherleen) Gabes of Lima; and a mother-in-law, Janet Schisler of Mount Vernon.
Also deceased is his father-in-law, Larry Schisler.
He graduated in 1965 from Lima Senior High School and then earned his bachelor of science in biology at Bluffton College and his master's in educational leadership at Bowling Green State University.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. He served as a teacher at Lima Senior High School and Lima South Junior High and in Steubenville and Buckeye North school districts. He retired from Celina High School. While at Celina, he taught applied physiology and science courses. He also was very proud to have coached football and swimming for the Bulldogs.
He was a member of Southside Christian Church, Lima.
His favorite pastimes included fishing near his home on Grand Lake, following college football, spending time at Put-in-Bay on Lake Erie and listening to the music of Jimmy Buffet.
Funeral rites are 10 a.m. Monday at Southside Christian Church, Lima, the Rev. Wanda Werking officiating. Burial with full graveside military honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Contributions may be made to a scholarship fund established in his memory.
