Kim Alexander
Kim Reane Heppeard Alexander, 55, Mount Vernon, passed away the morning of March 30, 2013, at Knox Community Hospital.
She was born July 1, 1957, in St. Marys. Her father, Donald E. (Marge) Heppeard, survives in Celina. Her mother, Lois Sholler Rhum, survives in Crestline.
On June 30, 1979, she married Thomas D. Alexander, who survives in Mount Vernon.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lolita L. (Ronnie) Alexander-Walker of Mount Vernon; a granddaughter, Kimberly Rose Walker of Mount Vernon; a grandson, Luke Skye Walker of Mount Vernon; good friend and caregiver, Jessica M. Franz of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Gregory K. (Anna) Heppeard of Oklahoma, and Tod L. (Rhonda) Heppeard of Hilliard; a mother-in-law, Lolita R. Alexander of Mount Vernon; brothers-in-law, Charles N. (Michelle) Alexander of Centerburg, and Lawrence E. (Catherine) Alexander of Aurora, Colo.; and a sister-in-law, Kathryn A. (Charles) Bube of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was a member of the New Life Church of the Nazarene. She graduated from Mendon High School, Mount Vernon Nazarene College and North Central State College in Mansfield, where she was an LPN Nurse.
She worked in many nursing homes in Mount Vernon, Columbus and the Westerville area. She worked for L'Nard Restorative Concepts, Inc., where she enjoyed traveling throughout Ohio. Along with her family, she enjoyed camping and fishing. They were members of Family Campers and RVs, and served has the State Children's Director.
A Celebration of Life service will start at 2 p.m. Saturday at R.R. Hodges Chapel on the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Campus.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.
Dilley-Lasater Funeral Homes are handling the services.
Contributions may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Worthington or to First Church of the Nazarene, c/o Kim Alexander Nursing Scholarship Fund.
