* WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Gary Wendel
Gary L. Wendel, 53, Fort Recovery, died May 3, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 13, 1959, in Coldwater, to Elmer and Joan Borgerding Wendel. His father survives in Fort Recovery.
On Dec. 18, 1982, he married Lisa (Staugler) Wendel in Fort Recovery, and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Gena Wendel, Dana Wendel and Nina Wendel, all at home; five sisters, Connie (Chuck) Kaiser of Fort Recovery, Carol (Dino) Knapke of Fort Recovery, Judy Bettinger of Coldwater, Susie (Dan) Muhlenkamp of Coldwater and Becky (Kevin) Kunk of Coldwater; mother-in-law, Genevieve Staugler of Fort Recovery, brothers and sisters-in-law, Cindy (Stan) Rainey of Hilton Head, S.C., Sandy (Carl) Hastings of Fort Recovery, Peg (Dave) Bretz of Fort Recovery, and Pat (Don) Wendel of Fort Recovery.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Werner "Dick" Staugler, and brother-in-law, Jim Bettinger.
He was employed at Cooper Farms in Fort Recovery as a service representative. He was a 1977 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, both of Celina. He also was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery.
Memorials may be given to the Stand Up to Cancer Association.
