Auglaize EMA creating a state-mandated plan to implement if animals escape

ST. MARYS - When thinking of what would make a good pet, bears, alligators and lemurs usually don't come to mind, but in Auglaize County, exotic pets are not uncommon.
Auglaize County Emergency Management Agency Director Troy Anderson told rotarians during their meeting on Wednesday he was surprised to discover just how many residents had pets that were deemed "dangerous wild animals" by the state. [More]
Marysville company testing its latest technology in Grand Lake

Algaeventure Systems Inc. of Marysville is testing its latest algae removal technology in Grand Lake.
Company officials set up equipment last week at the Celina Water Treatment Plant intake pipe at Main Street and West Bank Road. The solid, liquid separation filtering technology will be tested for a couple of weeks, company vice president David Coho said Monday. [More]

CELINA - The 58th Miss Lake Festival Scholarship Pageant is Monday at Romer's at Westlake located on U.S. Route 127.
A preshow starts at 7 p.m. with the pageant beginning at 7:30.
Six contestants are competing in the Miss Lake Festival Outstanding Teen pageant. They will be judged on talent, evening wear, on-stage question, lifestyle and fitness and a private interview. The contestants also are required to select a platform.
The Miss Lake Festival Princess Camp is a mentoring program designed for young girls who have an interest in someday competing in future pageants and promoting community service.
