Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Mary Jean Wehrkamp
Mary Jean Wehrkamp, 90, North Star, passed away July 20, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 26, 1923, in North Star, to Leo and Zita Grilliot Stammen. On Sept. 5, 1942, she married Ernest J. "Slim" Wehrkamp, who died Oct. 18, 2002.
She is also survived by six children, Michael (Dixie) Wehrkamp of Versailles, Edward (Marlene) Wehrkamp of Fort Recovery, Joyce (Ron) Hiestand of North Star, Mark (Diane) Wehrkamp of Versailles, Leo (Linda) Wehrkamp of North Star and Melanie Parin of North Star; a son-in-law, Richard (Carol) Francis of Versailles; 27 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; 64 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Stammen of North Star.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Francis; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Bob (Loretta) Stammen, Joan (Val) Groff, Tom Stammen, Carol (Ben) Selhorst, Ruta (Albert) Hemmelgarn and Luke Stammen.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and its St. Anne's Ladies Sodality, and the Darke County Right to Life. She was a CCD teacher for many years, graduated from St. Henry High School and lived in North Star her entire life.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Church in North Star, Fr. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater, and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Church.
Memorials may be given to St. Vincent DePaul.
