Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Martha Kohlhorst
Martha E. Kohlhorst, 87, St. Marys, died July 22, 2013, at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 18, 1925, in St. Marys, to John and Edna Clark Weadock. She married Marlin Kohlhorst on Aug. 14, 1943, at the Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
She is survived by her children, Allyn (Gail) Kohlhorst of Harper's Ferry, W.Va., Lynn (Diane) Kohlhorst of Greenville, Marlene (Michael) Rutschilling of St. Marys; five grandchildren, Mark (Melinda) Kohlhorst, Amy Kohlhorst, Jason (Tracy) Miley, Kendra Elshoff and Jennifer (Phillip) Perrotte; and 10 great-grandchildren, Amanda, Tannar, Mariah, Madison, Katelyn, Kamille, Parker, Sawyer, Emily and Megan.
She was preceded in death by her 10 brothers, Bernard, Lewis, Allyn, Walter, Thomas, Jerome, Philip, John, Vincent and Paul Weadock; one sister, Miriam Schallenberg; and one daughter, Mary Kohlhorst.
She was a 1943 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She had worked 12 years at the St. Marys Hardware Store. She loved life and was a wonderful homemaker and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband took great pride in their yard and flowers. They were charter members of the Tri-Square Dance Club. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
Funeral rites are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, the Revs. Bill Maki and Josh Andrew officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.
