Joseph Schoenherr
Joseph W. Schoenherr, 87, Coldwater, died Aug. 24, 2013, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
He was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Cassella, to Aloysious and Cleopha Boeke Schoenherr. On June 17, 1950, in St. Peter, he married Joan Jutte, who survives.
Other survivors are six sons, Ken (Connie) Schoenherr, Fort Recovery, Don (Karen) Schoenherr, Coldwater, Joe (Sandy) Schoenherr, Coldwater, Matt (Linda) Schoenherr, Fort Recovery, Karl (Barb) Schoenherr, Fort Recovery, and Bill (Janel) Schoenherr, Coldwater; two daughters, Pat (Jim) Brockman, Fort Recovery, and Nancy (Craig) Heckman, Osgood; two sisters, Irene Fullenkamp, Portland, Ind., and Rose Ann (Richard) Post, Celina; a brother, Vince (Marjorie) Schoenherr, Fort Recovery; 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Roseann Schoenherr, St. Paul, Minn., and Roberta Schoenherr, Ogden, Utah.
Deceased are infant children, James, Gerald and Mary; brothers, Alvin, Roman, Louis and Victor Schoenherr; sisters, Imelda Heckman, Anna Post and Marita Schoenherr; and three grandchildren.
He was a farmer and retired from the former New Idea, Coldwater. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 345, Fort Recovery, and the Catholic Knights, St. Joe. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Peter Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
