* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Dorothy Dammeyer
Dorothy S. Dammeyer, 94, New Bremen, died at 7:08 p.m. Sept. 24, 2013, at Otterbein Retirement Community in St. Marys.
She was born March 24, 1919, in New Bremen, to Henry and Edna Greiwe Block. On Jan. 26, 1946, she married Richard Dammeyer, who died March 14, 2003.
Survivors include her children, Duane (Marty) Dammeyer, Ojai, Calif., Daryl (Wanda) Dammeyer, New Bremen, Daran (Jennifer) Dammeyer, Palm Desert, Calif.; grandsons, Dustin and Derek Dammeyer; a great-grandson, Dakota Dammeyer; her sisters, Mary Jordon, Dallas, and Ruth (Daniel) Johns, Del City, Okla.; and her brother, Thomas (Barb) Block, Rockford, Ill.
Preceding her in death were her sisters, Helen Malmorg, Betty Tansey and Jane Watson, and her brothers, Carl and Paul Block.
Mrs. Dammeyer was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen and a member of the Busy 12 of the church. She was a 1937 graduate of New Bremen High School, loved to play cards and was involved in a number of card clubs. She was a homemaker and had formerly worked at the former Sieberling Latex in New Bremen.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to the church memorial fund or the New Bremen Emergency Squad.
