Pumpkinfest in New Bremen

Holly Bertke, coordinator for the artisan showcase at the 10th annual New Bremen Pumpkinfest, prepares the wine display at the Crown Pavilion on Friday. Bertke said organizers decided to offer wine this year in addition to beer traditionally served at area festivals. Also for the first time this year, attendees can try various craft brews, including pumpkin ale, from microbreweries out of Dayton, Yellow Springs and Toledo. The Pumpkinfest continues all day today with a 25-mile or 50-mile bike ride, music, inflatable rides for children and seasonal fare. More information can be found online at www.growgiants.com.
