Mary Krugh
Mary L. Krugh, 89, Mendon, passed away Sept. 30, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born May 26, 1924, in Neptune, to Ferdellus "Joe" and Mina Lampy Kimmel. Mary and Edgar Dale Krugh were married Sept. 5, 1942, and he died Nov. 18, 2004.
She is survived by a son, Ron (Nancy) Krugh, Mendon; a daughter, Judy (Dave) Crider, Mendon; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Duane Dillon, North Carolina.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Shirley Dillon; three brothers, Kenneth, Carl and Edwin Kimmel; an infant brother; a sister, Evelyn MacKay; and a brother-in-law, Glen (Opal) Krugh.
She was a co-owner and bookkeeper of the Mendon Farm Store, and had worked with her husband on the family farm. She was a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service at the church, the Mendon Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the farm bureau. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, sewing, traveling and helping with school and community functions.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mendon United Methodist Church, the Revs. Don Clinger and Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick and Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Memorial donations may be given to the Patient Fund at Kidney Services of West Central Ohio, Celina, or the Mendon United Methodist Church.
