CELINA - A lifelong dedication to local agriculture and soil conservation has earned Brother Nick Renner, C.PP.S., national attention.
Renner is the 2013 recipient of the Archbishop Edwin O'Hara Advocacy Award for rural ministry. He will be presented the award during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at the St. Charles Living Center, Carthagena. The national award is given annually by the Catholic Rural Life Conference. Lions Cross Country Invitational

COLDWATER - The running was high-paced as Coldwater hosted the annual Lions Cross Country Invitational on Thursday beginning in Memorial Park and finishing at Cavalier Stadium.
Coldwater's girls won the team title with a 42-point total and Minster was close behind in second with 56 points while Midwest Athletic Conference teams Versailles (fourth), St. Henry (sixth), Fort Recovery (eighth), Marion (11th) , New Bremen (12th) and Parkway (17th) were also in competition.
