Fog will reduce visibilities this morning. Conditions will vary from location to location with locally dense fog in spots. Motorists should prepare for rapid changes in visibility and allow extra time to reach your intended destination. The fog is expected to improve by mid morning.

Rachel Hoelscher
Rachel L. Hoelscher, 88, New Knoxville, died at 10:53 p.m. Oct. 16, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born July 20, 1925, in Washington Township, Auglaize County, the daughter of George and Gretchen Rohrbacher Berlet. She married Casper Hoelscher on Dec. 7, 1948, and he survives at the residence.
Other survivors are four children, Carol Herbst, New Knoxville, Jennie (Daniel) Rohrer, Enon, Anita (Terry) Lukac, New Knoxville, and Ted (Robbie) Hoelscher, New Knoxville; seven grandchildren, Amy (Byron) Hubbard, Karen Ruley, Tim (Julie) Herbst, Jessica Hoelscher, Max Hoelscher, Dakota Koenig and Dylan Koenig; a great-grandchild, Landon Jones; two brothers, Ned (Ruby) Berlet, Wapakoneta, and Dave (Sandy) Berlet, New Knoxville.
She was a 1942 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She worked as a secretary at Goodyear, St. Marys, after graduation until 1948. She then helped manage the family farm and cared for its egg operation.
She was a longtime member of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, where for many years she served as pianist for the kindergarten department. She was an accomplished musician who played several instruments including the accordion. She also enjoyed puzzles, sewing, gardening and quilting.
Funeral rites are 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday in the Ministry Center of the church.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church or the New Knoxville Fire Department First Responders.
