Charles Boice
Major Charles Joseph "Chuck" Boice, U.S. Army, retired, 82, of Arkadelphia, Ark., passed from this life on Nov. 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born May 7, 1931, in Celina, to Charles and Marie McDonald Boice. His wife, Barbara Jean Boice, preceded him in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Lyndia Fentress, Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Rodney Boice of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Laurel Lee Boice and Karen Jean Boice, both of Ohio; five grandchildren, Bobbi Lynn Boice, Joshua Charles Boice, Sara Jean Boice, Jonathan Fentress and Jami Fentress; and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers and three sisters.
He was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge #381 and American Legion. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans and he was a motorcycle enthusiast.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Welch Funeral Home, with Bro. Marvin Pate officiating.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Arkadelphia.
