Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Larry VanTilburg
Larry L. VanTilburg, 78, formerly of Celina, died Dec. 14, 2013, at 4:30 a.m. at Brownsburg Health Care, Brownsburg, Ind.
He was born July 25, 1935, in Celina, to Dale and Opal Boise VanTilburg Stephenson, who are deceased. A stepfather, Harold Stephenson, also is deceased.
On Aug 4, 1961, he married Nancie Truss, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Darrell (Mindy) VanTilburg, Lebanon, Ind., and Dirk Edward (Tatiana) VanTilburg, Carmel, Ind.; a brother, Bruce (Marilyn) VanTilburg, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Janice Garwick, Celina; a sister-in-law, Rebecca VanTilburg, Richmond, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Alexandria, Benjamin, Nicholas and Alex.
Deceased are two brothers, Ronald VanTilburg and Keith VanTilburg and a brother-in-law, Richard Garwick.
He was a 1953 graduate of Celina High School and a graduate of the University of Texas. He was a retired tax administrator for Celina Financial Group and member of the Celina First Church of God. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with burial in Swamp College Cemetery.
Calling is noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
