* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Otmar Bergman
Otmar F. 'Curly' Bergman, 85, Montezuma, died Feb. 9, 2014, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Maria Stein, to Lawrence and Frances Bruns Bergman. On July 11, 1970, he married Margaret 'Peg' Kaiser in Fort Recovery and she survives in Montezuma.
Also surviving are four sons, David Bergman, Hamburg, Germany, Larry (Lisa) Bergman, Lisle, Ill., Rick (Amy) Bergman, Minster, and Joe (Beth) Bergman, Columbus; nine grandchildren, Emma, Sophie, Joseph, Daniel, Sarah, Samuel, Justin, Tyler and Riley; siblings, Jim (Faye) Bergman, Dayton, Anna Marie Osterloh, Coldwater, and Larry (Jeanne) Bergman, Eygpt; in-laws, Ivalou Bergman, New Bremen, Tom Minch, Xenia, Robert (Barbara) Kaiser, Hamilton, Chuck (Linda) Kaiser, Cincinnati, and Elaine Kaiser, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Richard Bergman, Marinus Bergman, Irene Minch and Gene and Kate Bergman, and in-laws, Theresa and Bob Willhoff, Ralph Osterloh and Jerry Kaiser.
He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, and the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein. He loved Marion Local sports and was a member of the first St. John High School football team. He worked as a tool and die maker and was a farmer. He volunteered at the Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorials may be made to the Center for Neurological Development.
