* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Emma Schemmel
Emma J. Schemmel, 73, New Bremen, died at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 24, 2014, at Celina Manor Nursing Home, Celina.
She was born Aug. 4, 1940, in New Bremen, to Norman and Annabel (Dickman) Scheer.
Survivors include her children, Richard Schemmel and Brian (Jennifer) Schemmel, both of New Bremen, and Teresa Moore of Frankfort, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Paul (Dorothy) Scheer, Fryburg.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Charles Scheer.
She was a member of Faith Alliance Church of New Bremen and a 1958 graduate of New Bremen High School. She had formerly worked at Crown Equipment Corp. of New Bremen and Goodyear of St. Marys. She retired from Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys after over 20 years in the housekeeping department. Over the years, she also worked as a waitress at several restaurants.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen with Pastor Thomas Sager officiating. Inurnment will follow in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is noon until the time of services on Saturday at the church.
Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, is handling arrangements.
