Melvin Linn
Melvin Linn, 75, Celina, formerly of Chattanooga, died at 11:10 p.m. March 20, 2014, at The Miller House, Celina.
He was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Celina, to Michael A. and Amelia Baker Linn. On Nov. 20, 1948, he married Anna Lee Snider, who survives.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Jerome Linn and Vernon Linn; and five sisters, Ruth, Opal, Esther, Hazel and Marcella.
He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford. He also was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Services were held today at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiated. Burial was at the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or Northwest Kidney Foundation.
