Snow will develop this evening and continue into the overnight hours. One to two inches of snow accumulation will be possible by daybreak Wednesday morning. Slick spots can be expected on untreated roadways as well as bridges and overpasses. If traveling overnight, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for winter driving conditions.
Hog virus infects U.S. swine population causing tighter supplies

Consumers will soon pay more at the grocery store for bacon and other pork products due to a virus that has infected the U.S. swine population.
Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea virus - first detected in the U.S. about a year ago - has been diagnosed in local hogs. It causes diarrhea, vomiting and dehydration and is almost 100 percent fatal to piglets younger than 7 days old. The virus also sickens older hogs, but their survival rate is high. [More]
Crappie fishing on Grand Lake is the best it has been in years, according to avid anglers.
"Already this spring the crappie and catfish tournaments are drawing in fishermen and women from all over the state," Lake Restoration Commission Manager Milt Miller said this week.
