The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Donald Minnich
Donald E. Minnich, 52, St. Marys, died April 13, 2014, at his residence.
He was born May 4, 1961, in St. Marys, to Herschel and Barbara Howell Minnich. His mother survives in Celina.
Also surviving are three children, Barbie (James) Mabry, St. Marys, Mindy (Cori) Gray, St. Marys, and Eddie Minnich, St. Marys; four grandchildren, Lexi Mabry, Lizzie Mabry, E.J. Mabry and Camdon Gray; siblings, Roger (Florene) Minnich, St. Marys, Anthony (Beth) Minnich, Tennessee, Patricia (John) Harrod, Celina, Mike Minnich, Wapakoneta; Philip Minnich St. Marys, Tammy Minnich, St. Marys, Kris Grant, St. Marys, Bruce (Charlene) Minnich, St. Marys, and Lisa (Scott) Grant, St. Marys; 17 nieces and nephews, including his three godsons, Shane Minnich, Jordan Minnich and Ryan Minnich; numerous aunts and uncles; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was a 1979 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at Veyance Technologies in St. Marys for many years and was a member of the Celina Moose and Eagles Lodge 767. He adored his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed going to amusement parks and riding roller coasters and was a huge fan of the music of Michael Jackson.
Funeral rites will be 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Dr. David Williams officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
