Harold Winhoven
Harold J. Winhoven, 87, Coldwater, died July 22, 2014, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born June 2, 1927, in Coldwater to John and Marie Buschor Winhoven. On July 25, 1953, he married Esther Pax, who died Dec. 22, 1999.
Surviving are six daughters, Diane (Sam) Lemaster, Beavercreek, Jan (Steve) Goodwin, Fort Wayne, Ind., Laura (Jack) Young, Dayton, Donna (Lupe) Felan, San Antonio, Texas, Joan Young, Coldwater, and Teresa (Paul) Billings, Silver Spring, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Carrie Winhoven, Greenville; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann (John) Steinbrunner, Coldwater, and Rosella Winhoven, Celina; and a brother-in-law, Bill Mattingly, Coldwater.
Deceased are a son, Joseph Winhoven, and siblings, Virgil, Paul, Vernon, and Ralph Winhoven and Marita Mattingly.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and the Coldwater American Legion. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
