* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1044 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Jerry Spoon
Jerry F. Spoon, 86, Van Wert, died 12:10 p.m. Aug. 12, 2014, at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
He was born July 27, 1928, in Kirby, to Raymond W. and Marie Elizabeth Kuntz Spoon. On Dec. 27, 1946, at First United Methodist Church, Van Wert, he married Helen Maxine Bolinger, who died Dec. 4, 2012.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda D. (Wayne) Knodel Taylor, Van Wert; three grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) Knodel, Lima, Heidi (Rich) Arney, Van Wert, and Justin "J.J." Knodel, Asheville, N.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Alexa Knodel and Alaina Arney.
Also deceased are four brothers, Robert J. Spoon, Raymond V. Spoon, Carl R. Spoon and David R. Spoon; a half brother, Arthur Albert; and a sister, Virginia Craven.
He was owner and operator of the Bon-Ton, Van Wert. He and his wife then owned and operated the Goodyear Shoe Store, St. Marys, 1953-1995, until they retired and moved back to Van Wert.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Van Wert, and formerly of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 178, Van Wert, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Van Wert, the Rev. Will Haggis officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, where military rites will be conducted by the honor guard of the American Legion and VFW posts of Van Wert.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Cowan and Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
