* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Helen Gehm
Helen L. Gehm, 91, Rockford, died at 12:54 p.m. Sept. 1, 2014, at The Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.
She was born March 18, 1923, in Van Wert County, to Daniel and Rosetta Drury Shivley. On Jan. 12, 1946, she married Jerome Gehm, who died Sept. 18, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Rita (Rich) Werst, Celina, and Therisa Berry, Celina; a sister, Dorie Bollenbacher, Rockford; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are three brothers, Edward Shivley, Cleo Shivley and Emmet Shivley; seven sisters, Elnora Mosier, Ethyel Johnson, Edith Hopkins, Ilo Steman, Zelma Rader, Omah Davis and Ruby Shivley; and a granddaughter.
She was a 1941 graduate of Ridge High School, Van Wert, and a homemaker and was retired from Huffy. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial is at United Church of Christ Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is from noon-2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
