Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

David Eyink
David L. Eyink, 71, Celina, died at 2:14 a.m. Sept. 19, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born July 10, 1943, in Celina, to Vernon and Cecilia Riethman Eyink. On Oct. 6, 1968, he married Diana J. Linton, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are a son, Douglas (Jennifer) Eyink, Franklin; a daughter, Jeanelle Braun, Celina; a brother, Lawrence (Mary) Eyink, Chickasaw; two sisters, Marilyn (Ed) Schwartz, New Bremen, and Kathleen Pleiman, Fort Loramie; and eight grandchildren, Anna, Ben, Molly, Jake, Luke, Joey, Josh and Jessie.
Deceased is a brother-in-law, John Pleiman.
He was a 1961 graduate of Marion Local High School and was retired from Minster Machine after 40 years of service. He also was a real estate broker and co-owner of RE/MAX Real Estate.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and a Cub Master of Pack 69, Celina. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1964 and was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Moose, all of Celina.
Services were held today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiated. Burial with military rites followed at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Memorial contributions may be given to Community Health Professionals.
