Albert Watson
Albert Lee "Al" Watson, 83, Celina, passed away at 9:03 p.m. Oct. 2, 2014, at Celina Manor Nursing Home, Celina.
He was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Fresno, Calif. He was married to Margaret Watson, who survives in Celina.
Also surviving are four children, Mark, Reno, Nev., Michele, Gulfport, Miss., Geoffrey, Groton, Mass., and Leigh, Mooresville, N.C.
Deceased is a son, Michael.
He was proud to have served his country for 11 years, starting with the U.S. Navy in 1948 and then the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Marine Division. The last four years of his service he was attached to the Department of State serving at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France. He was a decorated Korean War veteran.
His working career centered in the private sector of law enforcement as corporate security director for several large corporations. He was a life member of the V.F.W. and the 1st Marine Division Association.
Services are 11 a.m. Oct. 18 at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kenneth G. Alt, C.PP.S., officiating. Military honors will follow at the funeral home.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Oct. 18 at the funeral home.
