Pipe bomb found in Coldwater safely detonated
Residents evacated from apartments, nearby homes

COLDWATER - The Lima Bomb Squad on Thursday night safely detonated a pipe bomb found at a vacant apartment in the village.
Coldwater Police Chief Jason Miller said the owner of the two-story duplex went to clean out the apartment at 321 E. College St. when he found what appeared to be a homemade pipe bomb in the back of a kitchen drawer about 7:30 p.m. [More]
SWCD board deems allegations invalid
Members review four application complaints

CELINA - Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District board of supervisors on Thursday reviewed two allegations of improper manure application and two pollution allegations.
All of the allegations were deemed invalid.
The first manure application complaint was reported Oct. 31 on Guadalupe Road east of Botkins Road in the Grand Lake Watershed. The caller was concerned that liquid dairy manure had not been applied without a setback from the road ditch. [More]

County buys property near Lakefield Airport
MONTEZUMA - Mercer County commissioners on Thursday agreed to pay $140,000 for land contiguous to the county-owned airport.
