Arlene Dierker
Arlene Mary (Bruns) Dierker of Portland, Oregon, and Hope, Idaho, died January 8, 2015.
She was the oldest daughter of Roman and Rita (Kremer) Bruns.
Arlene graduated from St. Henry High School in 1958 and Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Dayton in 1961.
She was married to Paul Dierker for 53 years. Arlene and Paul were adventuresome people. Much of their lives were spent at their home in Idaho and their winters in Oaxaca, Mexico. Wanting to be with their adult children Tom (Anne) and Lora (David) Stevick and their four grandsons Leo, Oscar, Devin, and Nathan of Portland, Oregon, Arlene and Paul spent more of their time in the beautiful city they so enjoyed. Arlene treasured her family and they will miss her cooking and baking talent and her presence.
Her surviving siblings are Robert Bruns, Judy Didier, Jean Hahn, John Bruns, Margie Nottingham, and Beverly Bramstedt.
Arlene was preceded in death by their son Tom, who died Aug. 13, 2012; her brother Jerry Bruns, who died in 1989; and her sister-in-law Joan (Pax) Bruns, who died in 2006.
