* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Mary Newton
Mary L. Newton, 75, Portland, Ind., died Feb. 4, 2015, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Michoacan, Mexico, to Vicente and Maria De La Luz Serna Morales. On May 19, 1959, she married Larry Newton, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ray (Cindy) Newton, Portland; three daughters, Linda (Richard) Tucker, Winchester, Diane (Chuck) Caster, Portland, and Nancy (Michael) Lininger, Portland; several brothers and sisters, including Lila (Jim) Eyink, Portland; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was owner of Mary's Salon DeVeyesa and Merle Norma Cosmetic Studio. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Portland, and the Moose Lodge. She was a graduate of Amber Beauty School.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Portland, the Rev. Robert Moran presiding. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Portland.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, with a scripture service at 6 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
