* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Thursday.

Everett Lauth
Everett Dewain Lauth, age 72, of Mendon, died at Grant Hospital in Columbus on Saturday evening, May 23rd.
Born on October 26, 1942 in St. Marys, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary Jane (Freewalt) Lauth. Everett married Phyllis Hicks in May of 1984 and she survives in Mendon.
Surviving children are: Todd (Marla) Lauth of Sidney, Cathy (Todd) Duff of Angola, Indiana, Karen Adams and George (Candes) Fetters, Sr., all of Celina. Also surviving are grandchildren: Caleb French and fiance Logan Canary, Coty French, Leslie Lauth, Kira and Nick Lauth, Kirk Duff, Lauren Duff and fiance Grant Andrews and Taylor Duff, Jimmy Adams, Josh Adams, Kelsi Fetters, Alicen Fetters and fiance Christopher Williams, Josie Fetters and fiance Warner Evans and George Fetters, Jr. and one great-grandchild, Blaze Adams.
Preceding Everett in death was a son, Rodney Lauth and a brother, Eugene Lauth.
Everett grew up in Monticello and attended Spencerville Schools. He had worked for many years at the Huffy Corporation in Celina. He was a welder, painter and metal finisher. He had also worked at Clark Equipment, Schuck Welding and the former Brodbeck's Supermarket.
An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Spillway Bait Shop. Most days, Everett could be found fishing, tinkering in his garage, or tying flies with his best buddy, Mike. He also enjoyed gardening. Everett was considered as "Grandpa" by all who knew him.
Visitation hours will be held from 1-4 and 6-8 PM, Thursday, May 28th and on Friday, May 29th from 12:00-1:00 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at the Mendon funeral home, Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
