Charles Arnold
Charles "Chuck" W. Arnold, 71, of St. Marys, OH died 1:53 p.m. Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born March 14, 1944 in St. Marys, OH to Willard "Buck" and Sara Anna Louise (Davis) Arnold. On July 24, 1971 in Celina, OH he married Judy Ann Fisher, who died February 8, 1983.
Survivors include: nephew Dwight "Jack" Harner III of St. Marys, OH, niece April (Kevin) Hoel of St. Marys, OH, niece Angela (Mike) Jaeger of Celina, OH, nephew Drew Harner of St. Marys, OH, nephew Brian Seals of Celina, OH, nephew Steve Seals of Celina, OH, brother-in-law Dwight "Jack" (Maggie) Harner, Jr. of St. Marys, OH, brother-in-law Wayne (Trudy) Fisher of Celina, OH, sister-in-law Nancy Roth of Berne, IN, sister-in-law Jane (Rob) Wendel of Celina, OH, sister-in-law Rita (Rick) Woods of Celina, OH.
Preceded in death by: parents Willard "Buck" and Sara Anna Louise Arnold, wife Judy Arnold, sister Cynthia Arnold Harner, mother-in-law Dorothy Borger, brothers-in-law Terry Borger and Mark Borger.
He was a 1963 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. Sgt. First Class Arnold was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a military recruiter. In addition, Chuck managed Edgewater Park on Grand Lake St. Marys and operated Mildred's Electric Malt Shop at Indian lake for many years.
He was a member of VFW Post #9289, American Legion Post #323 and Eagles Lodge Aerie #767, all in St. Marys.
His favorite pastimes included hunting and listening to music (especially the blues). He also enjoyed studying local history.
Services are scheduled to begin 12:00 noon Saturday May 30, 2015 at Miller–Long & Folk Funeral Home (314 W. High Street Chapel) in St. Marys, with Pat Bayman, officiating. Burial, with full graveside military honors, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Saturday at the funeral home on High Street.
