Ralph Brackman
Ralph Brackman, age 85, of Celina, Ohio, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at The Miller House, Celina.
He was born March 26, 1930 in St. Joe, Ohio to Willibald & Marcella (Omlor) Brackman. On October 8, 1955 he married Joann (Muhlenkamp) in Trinity, Indiana, and she died March 5, 1993.
He is survived by children, Connie & Tony Fielding of Celina, Ron & Julie Brackman of St. Anthony, Cindy & David Steinbrunner of Ft. Recovery, Mike & Jeanette Brackman of Celina, and Carol Brackman of Tacoma WA, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, siblings, Virgil & Mary Dean Brackman of Portland, and Cecilia Albers of Ft. Loramie, and in-laws Alberta Brackman of Coldwater, Eileen Welsch of St. Anthony, Luella Laux of Coldwater, Martha & Arnold Hilgeford of Portland, Rosemary Deitsch of St Peter, and James & Irma Muhlenkamp of Portland.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harold Brackman and in-laws Herman Albers, Lewis Welsch, Mark Laux, Norma & Joseph Wallischek, Bevan Deitsch and Lewis & Trudy Muhlenkamp.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving as a Sgt. First Class in the Infantry division during the Korean War. He was a member Coldwater V.F.W. and the Coldwater American Legion.
He retired from the former New Idea plant in Coldwater after 25 years, and operated Brocks RV for over 20 years. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, loved to travel, play cards, and was a true family man. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Burial with military rites will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater.
Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice, 230 W. Main Coldwater.
