Karen Gehle
Karen K. Gehle, 69, of Celina, passed away at 5:10 A.M. on July 13, 2015 at her residence in Celina. Karen was born in Celina on July 7, 1946 to Kenneth Highley and Ruth (McCristy) Highley, both preceded her in death. On December 9, 1978 she married, Dale Gehle who preceded her in death on November 11, 2003.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Roberta "Bobbie" (Cody) Bonifas, Celina; her guardian angels and grandsons Myles and Connor, both of Celina; a special niece, Susan (Rick Warren) Highley, Columbus, OH; nephew, Bill (Pat) Highley, Centerburg, OH; a brother, Wilbur (Mary) Highley, Columbus, OH; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Donald (Bert) Gehle, Celina, Kenneth (Diane) Gehle, Celina, and Ray (Emma) Tregembo, Fresno, CA, Ben (Paula) Gehle, Spring Hill, FL, Sue Downam, Celina, and Pat (Bailey), New Castle, VA; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A special thank you to Heather Van De Keere and Betty Hecht for their excellent long term care and friendship.
Karen was a 1964 graduate of Rockford High School.
She worked as a school bus driver for Celina City Schools and retired in 1993 after 15 years of service.
She loved spending time with her grandsons and her beloved dog Yoshi.
Visitation hours will be from 3-7 P.M., Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday in the funeral home, with Ty Gehle officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina, OH.
