Ruth Hinker
Ruth Hinker age 88 of Minster, Ohio died on September 28, 2015 at Versailles Health Care.
She was born on November 13, 1926 in Minster, Ohio to the late Joseph & Margaret (Reising) Melcher. She married Neal A. Hinker on May 15, 1948 in Minster, Ohio. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1997.
She is survived by children Neal J. & Mary Jo Hinker, Dayton, James & Beth Hinker, Minster, Jean K. Hinker, Minster, grandchildren Jonathan Hinker, Patrick & Molly Hinker, Edward & Allison Hinker, Samuel & Liz Hinker, Kate Hinker & William Hinker, great grandchildren: Caroline, Jack, Adelle & Anna, sister Helen Priske, Dayton.
She was preceded in death by brother Henry Melcher, sister Margaret Antony & twin sister Rita Bergman.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She was also a member of the C L of C, board member of the Council of Aging, member & treasurer of the Minster Historical Society.
She was retired from the Minster Area Rescue Squad and retired as a head cook from Minster Schools.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 1, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday Sept. 30, 2015 and from 9:00 to 9:30 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Minster Area Life Squad.
