Irene Speelman
Irene L. Speelman age 78 of Minster, Ohio died at 5:35 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home.
She was born on September 11, 1937 in Cranberry Prairie, Ohio to the late Lawrence & Stella (Kaiser) Broering. She married George Speelman on June 1, 1957 in Cranberry Prairie. He survives in Minster.
She is also survived by children: Joan & Norbert Homan, New Bremen, Marlene & Michael Zimmerman, Sidney, Mark & Kathryn Speelman, Maria Stein, Janice & James Turner, Russia, Kathryn & Todd Stucke, Atlanta, GA, Larry & Amy Speelman, New Bremen, Kelly & Andrew Bernhold, New Bremen, Craig & Lauren Speelman, Valparaiso, IN, 20 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters Mary & Louis Grieshop, Willowdell, Ohio, Paul & Nancy Broering, St. Henry, Elmer & Barb Broering, St. Henry, Luke & Barb Broering, St. Henry, Don & Janice Broering, Coldwater, Rob & Betty Broering, St. Henry, Wally & Shirley Broering, St. Henry, Jean & Orville Borgert, Sidney and brother-in-law Denny & Sharon Ontrop, Ft. Recovery.
She was preceded in death by sister Esther Ontrop and one great-granddaughter.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She was a loving wife of 58 years, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 12, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2015 and from 9:00 to 9:30 AM on Monday, October 12, 2015.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice and Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
