Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Division III State Volleyball Championship Match

FAIRBORN - As St. Henry and Gilmour Academy each found out, it would be difficult to put the other team away in the Division III state volleyball championship match at the Nutter Center.
The Redskins easily won the first set, but the Lancers started out strong in the second set before having to fend off a late St. Henry run. After Gilmour won the third set, St. Henry won the fourth to set up a fifth and final set. [More]
New Bremen High School senior killed

AUGLAIZE COUNTY - A 17-year-old New Bremen girl recently was discharged from a Lima hospital after a two-vehicle crash Thursday that claimed the life of an 18-year-old high school senior.
Stephanie N. Elliot, 113 N. Water St., a New Bremen High School junior, was taken by squad from the intersection of county Road 25A and Buckland-Holden Road near Cridersville to St. Rita's Medical Center after the accident at 9:26 p.m. Thursday. Her injuries had been listed as serious. [More]
