Helen Baker
Helen Schoen Baker, 78, Celina, Ohio, died 9:15 A.M. Sunday, November 22, 2015, at the home of her son Ryan Baker, in Celina.
She was born September 9, 1937, in Coldwater, Ohio, the daughter of Roman and Cecelia (Ainsworth) Schoen. She married Wilbert Schulze in June, 1959, and he preceded her in death on September 29, 1996. She later married Charles Baker and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children: Patricia Sutton of Dayton, Ohio; Carol (Dan) Niekamp of New Weston, Ohio; Theresa (Steve) Grilliot of Versailles, Ohio; Diane (Bryan) Martin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kathleen Hofmeister of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Ryan (Ashley) Baker of Celina. She is survived by 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a son, Robert Schulze; a sister, Mary Lou Spornhauer; two grandchildren, Roman and Caleb Hofmeister.
Helen was a 1955 graduate of St. Henry High School. She was a retired school bus driver for the St. Henry School District and had worked as a cook for many years at Carter Villa in Celina. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina.
Taking care of her family was the most important thing in the world to Helen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Father Kenneth Alt, celebrant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday (today) at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to either IC Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
