Della Mae Kanney
Della Mae Kanney, age 86, of Coldwater, died on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Celina Manor.
She was born August 9, 1929 in St. Wendelin to the late Julius & Matilda (Timmerman) Brunswick. On January 23, 1954 she married Aloysious J. Kanney Jr., who survives in Coldwater.
She is also survived by four children, Mary Jo & Bill Quinter of Coldwater, Vickie & Gary Lefeld of Coldwater, Pam & Bill Wente of New Bremen and Ron & Barb Kanney of Coldwater; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; in laws Doris Ann Brunswick, Dorothy Kanney both of St. Henry, Charles & Johanna Koesters and Vince & Marilyn Kanney all of Coldwater.
She is preceded in death by siblings Mary Agnes & Ed Grube, Delores & Herb Brackman, Ruth Ann Koesters and Donald Brunswick; and in laws Bob Kanney, Mary Ann Kanney, Margie Kanney and Betty & Dick Weitzel.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Cecelia Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Coldwater, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #5135 of which she served as president. She worked in her early years at Hemmelgarn & Sons and New Idea. She volunteered for the American Red Cross blood drives, was a poll worker for the Board of Elections and was a seamstress. Della Mae enjoyed cooking and baking.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.   Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice, 230 W. Main St Coldwater, OH 45828.
