* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Buckeye Power CEO Pat O'Loughlin says fewer government mandates and more time would allow for a more orderly transition to natural gas-based electricity. Today, Buckeye Power, which supplies Midwest Electric, generates 1,600 megawatts of electricity from coal, 650 megawatts from natural gas and 97 megawatts from renewable sources.
