* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 13 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Brenda Schemmel
Brenda Kay Schemmel, age 54, Ft. Loramie, Ohio, passed away Monday evening, June 20, 2016, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born November 28, 1961, in Piqua, Ohio to Paul "Slim" and Connie (Monnier) Hoehne of Houston. On July 24, 1982, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Newport, Brenda married Jeffrey L. Schemmel who survives.
Also surviving are three children: Ashley & Matthew Gehret, Ryan & Angela (Griner) Schemmel and Dustin Schemmel & fiancee Jennifer Niekamp, all of Fort Loramie; Three grand-daughters: Bailey, Maddison and Finley Gehret; two sisters: Debra Holthaus & Jeff Westover of Fort Loramie, and Kathleen & Derron Wilson of Russia; mother-in-law, Pauline & Urban Drees of Osgood; sisters & brothers-in-law: Janice & David Clune of St. Henry, John & Rita Schemmel of Osgood as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Hoehne and father-in-law, Louis Schemmel.
A 1980 Graduate of Russia High School, Mrs. Schemmel worked in medical billing at various home health companies including Apria Healthcare in Minster and the former Homedco in Fort Loramie.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Ann's Ladies Sodality, and was a past secretary of the Fort Loramie Athletic Boosters.
Brenda enjoyed shopping and finding bargains, garage saling, raising geraniums, and frequent walks around town. She loved family gatherings, entertaining her grandchildren and wouldn't miss any of her children's sports events.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2016, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday 3:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
