Tri Star levy early voting starts
Photo by Claire Giesige/The Daily Standard

Residents line up to vote on the Tri Star 2.0 levy on Wednesday. If it passes, the 0.95-mill, 15-year bond levy would help fund a new $25 million building on state Route 703 across from Wright State University-Lake Campus. The building would house the career compact's 15 existing programs, which are now spread across six locations within Tri Star Career Compact's nine school districts. State officials have agreed to provide $8 million toward the project, leaving a local share of $17 million. The levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 house $33.25 per year. Early voting began Wednesday and will continue until the Aug. 2 election.
