Cyril C. Albers age 76 of Celina formerly of Osgood, Ohio passed away at 2:10 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Center.

He was born on September 30, 1939 in Maria Stein to the late Edward & Regina (Bills) Albers. On November 17, 1962 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie he married Alberta Schlater. She survives in Celina.

He is also survived by daughter, Kris & Bob Poeppelman, Minster, sons, Phil & June Albers, Russia, Bryan & Rhonda Albers, Versailles, grandchildren: Erica & Dustin Heitkamp, Mitchel & fiancee Maria Dahlinghaus, Devon, Casey, Trevor, Savannah, Cole & fiancee Cassidy Condon & Heather, brothers & sisters, Doris & Norb Schemmel, Osgood, Paul & Mary Albers, Osgood, Don & Diane Albers, Osgood, Agnes & Dale Goettemoeller, Maria Stein, Barb & John Sherman, Newport, OH, Roger & Shirley Albers, Maria Stein, in-laws Rosemary Albers, New Bremen & Phyllis Poeppelman, Minster.

He was preceded in death by brother Ralph Albers & sisters, Rita Albers & Mary & Clem Poeppelman.

He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, Ohio and a former member of St. Nicholas Church, Osgood. He was also a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves, Osgood Fire Department, Yorkshire Town Council, Goat Farmers & the Celina Moose Lodge.

He worked for Sidney Electric & Duellman Electric.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, Ohio with Rev. James Dugal celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Thursday, August 18 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
