Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

Livestock grand, reserve champions sell at auction

The grand champion lamb, shown by Banyard Boosters 4-H member Mason Will, son of Kevin and Angie, sold Thursday at the Mercer County Fair for $2,700 to a group including Kerns Auto Group, Shroyer Show Stock, K&L Tractor Sales, Wangler Hardware, Maria Stein Grain, Brian Fortkamp Excavating and Farm Drainage, Overman Trucking, Peoples Bank Co., Pottkotter Construction and Will Show Lambs.
