Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Phyllis Reier
Phyllis A. Reier, 75, Portland, Indiana, died December 9, 2016 at her residence.
She was born July 1, 1941, in Portland, IN, to the late Walter and Thelma (Spillman) Hart. On October 16, 1971, she married Melvin Reier, who survives.
Also surviving are her children, Janet (Aaron) Loyd of Portland, Joe (Karla) Reier of Portland, Joanna (John) Lehner of Indianapolis, IN, Sharon (Bronson) Hunt of Portland and John (Kim) Reier of Indianapolis, IN; two siblings, Robert (Carol) Hart of Fort Recovery and Mary (Larry) Day of Fort Recovery; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and in-laws, Merdella (Joe) Nietfeld of St. Henry, OH, Loudonna Timmerman of Coldwater, OH, Jean (Vince) Fortkamp of Fort Recovery and Viola Braun of Coldwater.
Preceding her in death is a daughter, Jennifer Reier.
She was a 1959 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, Fort Recovery. She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery and served on the church's funeral luncheon committee for many years.
Phyllis loved reading, doing puzzles and following the Indiana Hoosiers and Chicago Cubs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, Fr. Matthew Feist officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Monday and 9:00 am-10:00 am Tuesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
