Lois Haberkamp
Lois Haberkamp, 90, of New Knoxville, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Vancrest Nursing Home, Saint Marys.
She was born September 27, 1926, in Shelby County, Ohio, the daughter of Herman and Lydia (Huston) Zwiebel. She married Eldon Haberkamp on June 20, 1948, in Kettlersville, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2006.
She is survived by her children: Rick (Monica) Haberkamp of Chad, Africa; Larry Haberkamp of New Knoxville; Dean Haberkamp of Dublin, Ohio; Shirley (Paul) Holland of Fairfield, Ohio. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Sarah (Ben) Jerdan; Angie (Josh) Quickstad; Lisa Haberkamp; Maximilian Haberkamp; Samantha Haberkamp; Bridgette Carr; Katherine Holland; Natalie Holland; Madeline Holland. She is survived by eight great-grandchildren; by a sister-in-law, Marie Haberkamp of New Knoxville; by her brother, Paul Zwiebel of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; by her siblings Evelyn Dickman and Ruth Niemeyer; by a sister-in-law, Ruth Zwiebel; by her son, Ted Haberkamp; by her infant daughter, Barbara Haberkamp.
Lois was a 1944 graduate of New Knoxville High School. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First Church of New Knoxville. Lois enjoyed reading Christian books, drawing, painting, and doing crossword puzzles.
Funeral rites will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the First Church of New Knoxville, the Reverend Joel Bucklin, officiant. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 5-7 P.M. Friday in the Heritage Room of the First Church of New Knoxville, where memorial gifts may be given to either Gideons International or the Radio Broadcast Fund of the First Church of New Knoxville.
