* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Herbert Forsthoefel
Herbert J. Forsthoefel, age 88, of Coldwater, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.  
He was born November 16, 1928, in Coldwater, to the late William & Cecilia (Schwieterman) Forsthoefel. On October 21, 1961, he married Madeline (Braun), who survives in Celina.
He is also survived by four children, Roger & Peggy Forsthoefel of New Paris, Mona & Tom O'Brien of Beavercreek, Paula & Matt Dirksen of Winchester, Indiana, and Doug & Judy Forsthoefel of Coldwater, 19 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Ken Forsthoefel of Florida and Tom Forsthoefel of Coldwater, and in-laws, Luetta Forsthoefel and Clara Forsthoefel, both of Coldwater, Jerry & Marj Braun of Cincinnati, Tom & Teresa Braun of Richmond, Indiana, Kenneth & Susan Braun of St. Marys, Thelma Mueller of Coldwater and Marian & Charles Gross of Earlysville, Virginia.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Charlie and Patrick Forsthoefel, brothers and sisters, Paul & Pat Forsthoefel, Ruth & Frank Muskus, Don Forsthoefel, Joan Staugler-Mescher and Jim Forsthoefel, and in-laws, Rose Forsthoefel, Pat Forsthoefel, Ralph Staugler, Linie Mescher, and John Mueller.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater the men's holy name of the church, and the Coldwater Knights of Columbus. Herb was a veteran of the US Army and worked for New Idea in Coldwater and retired from Bruns Construction. He was passionate about flowers and birds and enjoyed fishing and his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 to 7 and on Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home Coldwater.
