Rubbing of ashes on foreheads marks Ash Wednesday

New Bremen routs Ada for second win; St. Henry cruises past Goshen

COLDWATER - It wasn't a night of nail biters in Coldwater.
To the surprise of nobody, fourth-seeded St. Henry kicked off the night with a 72-37 thrashing of 12th-seeded Waynesfield-Goshen to begin Division IV sectional play at the Palace.
Somewhat surprising was what ninth-seeded New Bremen did to eighth-seeded Ada in the nightcap. The Cardinals, with one win on their resume entering the contest, cruised to a 65-31 romp. [More]

High winds whipped through west central Ohio Tuesday night and into this morning, causing only minor damage.
According to Mike Robbins, Mercer County EMA director, much of the damage was limited to limbs and branches and a few utility wires being blown down.

ST. HENRY - Council members and area officials met Tuesday night to evaluate four proposals for the village's pool project.
Council member Joe Wourms said they couldn't choose a proposal and agreed to meet again before the next council meeting on March 13.
