COLDWATER - The challenge was to come up with a prosthetic limb - an arm, a hand, a foot or a leg - using household items.
Participants had only one class period, about an hour, to brainstorm, draw plans and build their creation. In that hour, Coldwater High School sophomore Kaitlin Break and senior Dayn Kenny built a leg that could probably function as a makeshift prosthetic for someone in need. [More]

CELINA - County officials on Thursday advanced plans to accommodate plumbing supply giant Ferguson Enterprises' proposed pipe yard operation to be built next to its distribution center.
CELINA - A new pipe yard operation is expected to create at least 20 high-skilled, good-paying jobs, Mercer County officials learned on Thursday morning.
The rainy weather did not dampen the Celina boys tennis team as the Bulldogs will be represented in the semifinals of all five brackets at the Western Buckeye League tournament. The weather forced the action to be moved indoors to Westwood Tennis Center in Lima.
